On June 15th, 2010 both of South Carolina's US Senators voted to not amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 that gives Big Oil and Gas companies’ tax breaks.  The amendment would have done away with the loopholes these companies were using and used the money to decrease the deficit.

All but two Republican senators voted against the amendment.  The other two Republican senators didn't vote.  21 Democrat senators also voted against the amendment.
